Guns of Alaska was founded in 2016 by Paul and Kay Smith. In April of 2019, they sold the business to Marshall and Dollie Albertson.
We offer gunsmithing services for everything from repair to customization to full custom firearm builds.
We also offer Cerakote services, fingerprinting, as well as firearms and ammunition sales, and FFL transfers.
On staff we have our lead gunsmith, Jim Horrocks, who is the only accredited gunsmith in South East Alaska. Jim graduated with an Associates of Occupational Studies (Gunsmithing) from the Professional Career Development Institute, and specializes in Cerakote and custom gun builds. Jim is a certified Cerakote Applicator and a full-time gunsmith.
Our lead certified Cerakote applicator is Shannon Johnson. She has been certified since 2019, and has gone back to Cerakote school for advanced training, to be able to provide and offer more Cerakote services.
Our office manager is Tiffany Albertson. Tiffany runs the store portion of Guns of Alaska. She answers the phone, emails, Facebook messages etc., also she does finger prints, background checks for firearm purchases, ammo sales, and more.
